Centralized UPS Management

Falcon Electric offers a full line of UPSs with true RS-232 communications and RS-232 client software supporting most MS Windows, Linux and UNIX platforms. We offer option cards supporting both dry contact and optically isolated signal interfaces. TCP-IP addressable SNMP/HTTP interface cards are available that provide centralized management of the UPS over a LAN, WAN, Proprietary Networks and over the Internet. MS Windows client software is supplied with this option that facilitates the shutdown of multiple file-servers, “in band”, from a single UPS. A snap-in UPS MIB is also furnished that interfaces with HP OpenView and IBM Netview network management software (NMS).

The SNMP/HTTP board also supports remote UPS management via the Internet, using any standard web browser such as Internet Explorer or Netscape.
