Falcon’s UPS Protects Systems on U.S. Air Force Aircraft

Falcon Electric and Alpha Research & Technology, Inc., a systems integrator, are currently providing an airborne qualified UPS for use on military aircraft. The first systems were purchased by the Air Force for aircraft designated for vital homeland security operations.

U.S. Navy Selects Falcon's Frequency Converters and UPSs

The U.S. Navy selected Falcon Electric's ED Series Frequency Converters (Model ED-1000A) for use on EW aircraft. By continually providing new, clean AC sinewave power, they power key equipment necessary to national security. They also facilitate the use of COTS equipment designed for domestic 60Hz power in the 400Hz aircraft environment. Also, TAC3 & TAC4 are U.S. Navy project designations outlining computers and UPS units to be used by the Navy for critical shipboard applications. Through our OEM accounts, the Navy selected Falcon’s products due to proven performance and reliability.

U.S. Air Force Utilizes UPS w/Voltage and Frequency Conversion Capability

The U.S. Air Force chose Falcon's SG 5kVA UPS Plus ® (Model SG5K-2TXC) to protect high-security computer systems worldwide. These UPSs provide back-up power, precise voltage regulation, and voltage/frequency conversion in one unit. They convert 220Vac/50Hz input to a 120Vac/60Hz output, while continually regenerating clean sinewave power.

Falcon’s On-line UPSs Protect Remote Military Logistics Offices

Through an OEM partner, the U.S. Military selected Falcon Electric On-line UPSs to be integrated with computers and servers into self-contained trailers that acted as remote Logistics Offices at conflict sites anywhere in the world. For example, these Logistics Offices were used in Desert Storm.

Raytheon Selects Falcon for Weather and Radar Systems  

Raytheon is currently using Falcon’s ED 2kVA UPS for selected weather and radar systems worldwide. The ED UPS provides reliable, high-grade power conditioning, regulation and backup for Rathyeon’s systems.

Large Military Contractor Uses Falcon Products and Maintenance Services

For over ten years, a large military contractor’s Technical Service Group has been obtaining products through a Falcon OEM partner. During this time, the UPS units have operated outside in the harsh desert environment with minimal preventive maintenance.

Also, for over eight years, this military contractor has been using Falcon’s products inside their systems for mission-critical airport applications. T he product provides precision AC voltage regulation, AC switching and advanced network communication.
