April 27, 2005 – Irwindale, CA - Falcon Electric, an innovator of single-phase on-line Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS), offers new on-line, sinewave 5 and 6kVA UPSs. The SG Series™ 5 and 6kVA UPS Plus® feature a galvanically isolated input of either 120Vac or 230Vac and an output of 208/220/230/240Vac. The models are designed to provide a higher level of protection in locations with severe power problems. The input galvanic isolation gives an extra layer of protection for sensitive equipment, helping to protect against localized, high level power pollution problems, fast high voltage transients, lightning, grounding problems and common mode noise. This galvanic isolation feature is not found in most of the 5 and 6 kVA UPS products on the market. Applications include computer-based LAN and WAN systems, industrial control systems, telecommunications equipment, and laboratory equipment operating in harsh power environments. The SG 5 and 6kVA each measure 32.1 x 10.2 x 21.6 (H x W x D). Pricing ranges from $4,605 to $5,689, depending upon size and model. The SG 5 and 6kVA UPS Plus are true double-conversion on-line, sinewave UPS. They continually regenerate new, clean AC power via an AC-DC-AC inverter, thereby providing a high level of protection against serious power problems that affect sensitive computerized, industrial, laboratory, and telecommunications equipment. Other standard features include: input power factor correction, a wide input voltage window, tight voltage regulation (+3%), auto restart, a comprehensive front panel user interface, site wiring indicator and multi-stage surge protection. These products incorporate advanced microprocessor control, monitoring and communications circuitry. Remote management and monitoring functions are available through a standard RS-232 port, or an optional TCP-IP addressable SNMP/HTTP board through a standard 10BaseT Ethernet port. Options include: frequency and voltage conversion; a make-before-break maintenance bypass, and extended battery packs and charger options. About Falcon Electric |
