FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Solid-State Voltage Regulator (SVR) Offers Superior Features in a Lightweight, Affordable Package IRWINDALE, Calif. – April 28, 2009 – Falcon Electric, Inc., (www.falconups.com) an award-winning supplier of power protection and regulation solutions, today announced its new Solid-State Voltage Regulator (SVR) in a convenient rackmount/tower design. The SVR Pro™ Series represents one of the industry’s first active electronics-based solid-state voltage regulators. In addition to continuously regenerating new, clean AC power, the SVR Pro protects power sensitive equipment against wide spectrum of power-related problems– thereby assuring equipment uptime at a very affordable cost. Specifically designed to tackle costly power disturbances that wreak havoc within industrial infrastructures (process control and automation, manufacturing equipment, computing and communications systems), the SVR Pro 1.5kVA, 2.2kVA and 3kVA units deliver pure regulated power in a compact and lightweight 31-pound package. Unique to the SVR Pro is its active electronic design that regenerates ultra-clean, regulated power, assuring the highest level of protection against costly generator frequency shifts, surges, sags and extended brownouts. Unlike tap switching regulators that typically provide ±5 to 10 percent output regulation, the SVR removes damaging power pollution and assures a pure sinewave output with ± 2 percent voltage regulation. These new units feature a wide input voltage window from 80 to 138Vac, as well as a .97 input Power Factor Correction (PFC) circuit that reduces input current and harmonics. Difficult high inrush loads are easily addressed by the SVR’s robust inverter design. Moreover, the SVR Pro can operate in harsh temperature environments – from 0 degrees to 55 degrees Centigrade. For a high level of control, the SVR Pro incorporates advanced microprocessor technology. The units’ LCD display provides users with instantaneous line, load status and operating parameters. Additionally, with a simple factory modification, the SVR units can also perform 50 Hertz frequency conversion for worldwide 230-volt applications. With the units’ optional battery backup feature, the SVR Pro provides minutes to hours of battery backup power. Availability and Pricing:
