Irwindale, Calif., - April 5, 2011 - Falcon Electric, Inc., (www.FalconUPS.com) an award-winning manufacturer of uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), voltage & frequency converters and AC voltage line regulators, today announced that Hydro-Test Products, Inc, of Stow, Mass., has selected Falcon's SG Series™ voltage and frequency converter plus UPS to eliminate the need to redesign products.

"Re-engineering our automated water-jacket test equipment to accommodate 220Volt, 50Hz power has not been an option for us," said Doug Sagar, president of Hydro-Test Products. "For most of our gear, we can build or buy motors and other components to accommodate local electrical requirements. However, our automated test system has a lot of electronic sub systems including proprietary PC boards, so it's not cost-effective to re-design them for a second version for export."

The voltage and frequency conversion products offered by competitors were priced too high for Hydro-Test to pass along to the customer and this proved to be a big stumbling block for Sagar. "This raised the total system cost to an unacceptable level – customer service and price led us to Falcon Electric."

"By switching to Falcon's frequency converters to bundle with our automated test system, we are able to offer more competitive prices – giving our export customers the choice of either our manual system or our automated test system," explained Sagar. "Before now, we weren't advertising to our overseas customers because the whole package was priced prohibitively high. Falcon helped us bring the price down generating more export sales."

Falcon offers voltage and frequency converters from 1.5kVA to 7.5kVA and can configure the input plug and receptacle to match user needs. Prices for Falcon's voltage and frequency converters start at $3,446 for the SG Series 2kVA (Model SG2K-1TX).
