The SVR Series utilizes Falcon’s patented regenerative on-line inverter technology. They are available in 1,1.8, 2, 2.4 and 3 kVA rackmount models and are UL listed.
The SVR Series provides a rock-stable voltage/current source and precision regulation for many types of equipment. They include: sensitive laboratory equipment, computers with integrated DAC capability, spectrographs, computer-based precision measurement or position systems, high accuracy motor speed controllers, optical vapor coating or any electronic equipment used in harsh or polluted power environments. The SVR can eliminate costly equipment or process downtime resulting from high voltage transients, dropouts, low or high utility voltages, generator related frequency and voltage fluctuations, or noise and power pollution caused by other equipment or motors operating nearby.
The SVR Series is not just another tap switching regulator. The transient protection of the SVR Series is superior to typical passive MOV based surge suppression solutions that only attempt to clamp transients because the SVR uses multiple levels of active electronics that reduces transverse mode transient pass-thru by greater than 60db.
Unlike transformers and other passive line conditioning devices, the SVR creates a totally new, precision regulated AC power, free from power pollution. Output voltage regulation is ±2%, frequency +3%, while operating over the wide input voltage range with less than 3% THD for linear loads and less than 5% for non-linear loads. The SVR is capable of providing three times its rated output power for short durations, making it the ideal power source for equipment with difficult high inrush current demands.
The SVR also provides input power factor correction. This keeps a linear power flow from the wall receptacle, while the SVR is powering very non-linear loads. It also reduces the current demand at the receptacle.
The SVR Series can be configured for use as an international voltage and frequency converter. It simply requires a factory modification and an additional external input transformer. This makes it ideal for worldwide power applications.
