Falcon Electric, Inc. Announces
World's First Universal Input, Low-Cost
Line-Interactive UPS

Also Features Unique LCD Display & Advanced Two-Stage Battery Charger

March 2, 2004 – Irwindale, CA - Falcon Electric, Inc. unveils the world's first universal input line-interactive UPS product line, called the SUP Series. It also offers a unique LCD display, and an advanced two-stage battery charger, among other breakthrough features. The Falcon SUP Series is available in 700VA and 1kVA models.

The Falcon SUP product line is the first line-interactive UPS that can accept a universal input. This feature gives users flexibility to use U.S. equipment internationally at a reasonable cost. The unit can accept a 120Vac through 230Vac input and provide a fixed 120Vac output.

The Falcon SUP product line makes a breakthrough in price/performance ratio. The list prices are only: $449 for the 700VA and $599 for the 1kVA.

Users can also benefit from the SUP’s unique, user-friendly, front panel LCD display. In contrast to simple LED lights, this LCD display gives detailed UPS and power information without having to access monitoring software or connect an expensive monitoring computer. The LCD shows over 20 operating parameters and provides explanations.

The Falcon SUP Series makes an advancement in battery charging--it has an advanced two-stage battery charger providing fast, safe battery recharging while yielding a longer battery life.

The Falcon SUP Series produces a sinewave form to critical equipment. This sinewave power can extend the overall life of power supply components. Many line-interactive UPSs produce square or step-wave forms.

Featuring a Buck and Boost Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) function, the SUP can accept a wide input voltage range without draining its battery. Users thereby preserve their UPS’s battery life to provide them with optimal battery time in case of a blackout.

All SUP models include a free version of UPSilon 2000 advanced shutdown and monitoring software that supports Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, 2000 Server, XP, Linux, Novell Netware 5 & 6, Unix, FreeBSD and other operating systems.

Designed for small spaces, the Falcon SUP Series is compact and lightweight. All models are 7.9 (H) x 7.1 (W) x 14.2 (D) inches. The weights are 700VA-35 lbs., 1kVA-40 lbs.
