Innovation in Design
ED Series™ Frequency Converters Recognized as a Finalist in Engineering Awards Competition
Irwindale, Calif. – December 14, 2005 – Falcon Electric, Inc., a leading supplier of power protection and conversion solutions today announced that its ED Series™ Rackmount Frequency and Phase Converters was selected as a finalist in Product Design & Development’s 10th Annual Engineering Awards. This latest honor from Product Design & Development further reinforces Falcon’s commitment to providing its customers, which span across a variety of industries, with high-performance power solutions that utilize innovative and useful designs to meet their critical power needs.
Falcon’s ED Series is a family of high performance single-phase frequency and phase converters that are designed to solve the phase imbalance problems encountered when connecting single-phase equipment to a three-phase 400Hz source. Utilizing field-proven true double-conversion design, the ED Series – with power ratings from 1.5kVA to 2.4kVA – offers unmatched power quality without sacrificing efficiency, size or weight. At less than 60 pounds, the compact 2U rack-mount ED Series units are among the lightest and smallest units in their class.
